Andrew Bernhard Invited to Panel for The Brazilian Institute of Real Estate Law





The Brazilian Institute of Real Estate Law (IBRADIM) invited Andrew Bernhard of Bernhard Law Firm to join its panel for debate on its Reflections of the Extra-Frontier Pandemic. The IBRADIM panel discussed the effects of Covid-19 on Brazilian investment and strategy in the U.S., with particular focus on Florida and Miami. The online forum featured Marcelo Terra as moderator and Andrew Bernhard, Estela Lemos Monteiro Soares de Camargo, Nelson Slosbergas and Telmo Arbex Linhares as debaters.
The panel answered questions and gave perspectives on the Coronavirus and various cases arising from its impact, including under force majeure, impossibility, impracticability, frustration of purpose, and government preemption. The Brazilian Institute of Real Estate Law (IBRADIM) is a non-profit entity and party affiliation; scientific, technical and pedagogical; and has as its main objectives in the research, the improvement, the realization of pro bono works, the conclusion of agreements for academic cooperation, the dissemination of academic works, the promotion of study groups, congresses, conferences and courses, and the permanent debate of themes related to Real Estate Law, including the work with all spheres and bodies of the federal, state and municipal governments.
